It’s flooring—and then some. Made for More.
Company’s Upon Common Ground Collection Helps Position Communities for Success
SYDNEY – February 24, 2025 – Interface, Inc. (NASDAQ: TILE), the global flooring solutions company and leader in sustainability, today announced its partnership with the Goodes O’Loughlin Foundation (GO), an organisation dedicated to empowering First Nations students through education.
Through this partnership, a portion of the profits from Interface’s Upon Common Ground Collection, Interface’s locally manufactured carpet tile collection inspired and designed by First Nations students, will directly support GO’s mission of providing life-changing scholarships. However, this effort is about more than funding, it’s about opening doors, creating pathways, and ensuring that every young First Nations student has the opportunity to succeed on their own terms.
“We co-created Upon Common Ground to be more than just a collection – it’s founded on our values and our commitment to giving back,” said Trish McCann, Director of Marketing Activation – APAC at Interface. “Partnering with GO means we’re not just supporting education; we’re investing in the future of First Nations communities and the incredible young people who will shape it. Because at Interface, we believe we are all made for more – more opportunity, more connection, and more impact.”
Founded by AFL greats Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin, GO is Aboriginal-led and governed, with culture at the heart of everything they do. They understand that when young First Nations students feel connected to their culture, their aspirations and confidence grow, and their potential is limitless. With over 1,700 scholarships awarded in the past 15 years with 94% of students in public schools, GO is making a real, lasting difference.
Interface’s collaboration is already having an impact, enabling cultural engagement initiatives like the Sydney Culture Connect Day, where students take part in workshops that deepen their cultural identity and community ties. It has also strengthened GO Foundation’s network, connecting 77 partner schools and seven universities to expand educational opportunities and resources for First Nations students.
